This course prepares students for studies in the international language. Students will enhance their ability to use the language with clarity and precision, and will develop the language skills needed to engage in sustained conversations and discussions, understand and evaluate information, read diverse materials for both study and pleasure, and write clearly and effectively. Students will also have opportunities to add to their knowledge of the culture of the countries where the language is spoken through the use of community resources and computer technology. The course is intended to prepare students for the compulsory Grade 12 university or college preparation course.

Fundamental Concepts Covered in Grade 11 International Languages Online Course
The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary skills in all three strands of the Farsi (Persian) language. Students will develop their ability to read both authentic and abridged texts, write responses of varying lengths and express personal details and opinions orally. Students will be required to use proper sentence structure in order to demonstrate understanding of the various concepts and work they have covered throughout the course. Students will be exposed to new vocabulary corresponding to the different units, and will have multiple opportunities to listen and speak in Farsi (Persian).
